Join Greenbelt Alliance on a wildflower hike in the Marin Headlands
Celebrate California Native Plant Week (April 15-22) with this 5-mile wildflower hike through several different plant habitats, including coastal sage scrub, grassland, and shady hillside at the height of wildflower season. You’ll look for up to 50 species of colorful native wildflowers and shrubs in bloom.
The hike begins at the Rodeo Beach parking lot in the Marin Headlands and goes up the Coastal Trail to the top of Hill 88, where we’ll break for lunch. On Hill 88, you’ll have amazing views of Tennessee Valley, Mt. Tamalpais, San Francisco, and even San Bruno and Montara Mountains south of San Francisco. Then, you’ll continue downhill on the Wolf Ridge Trail and the Miwok Trail, completing the loop by continuing alongside Rodeo Lagoon to return to our starting point.
