The San Mateo coast runs along the Pacific Ocean for over 60 miles and has acres of public land with over 25 parks and state beaches. Much of the flora had not been documented, but for the past decade when our presenter, Toni Corelli, and two state park volunteers have surveyed these public lands and identified over 600 different species of plants. This presentation will highlight the plants and plant communities occurring on Public Lands along the San Mateo Coast from Thornton State beach to Ano Nuevo State Park. Our presenter, Toni Corelli, is a botanist and author of several books on the local flora of San Mateo and Santa Clara County. This webinar will be educational and engaging for adults and children of all ages. It will be also be recorded and available on our YouTube channel.
