Our almost-annual Hunt (For) the Wren Day birdwalk, with folklore, culture, song, legend, and biology of The Wren and relatives. Why is it “The King of All Birds”?
Meet at the Tilden Nature Area parking lot in front of the Environmental Education Center/Little Farm. A gentle walk to Jewel Lake and back on a wide dirt trail past the newly refurbished ponds in the meadow. A few benches along the way. Come along for a short while or the whole time. Young people who would enjoy the company of adult birders are welcome. Restrooms and water at the start and midway.
