To find a hike event that works for you\, please visit here and register. \nSpring is the best time to experience Edgewood’s extraordinary biodiversity! Discover what’s in bloom as we hike through Edgewood’s woodlands and grasslands. We will make frequent stops to take a closer look at the wildflowers as well as other interesting plants and animals we find along the way.\nWe’ll cover about 3 miles at a moderate pace. This hike is geared toward adults and older children interested in learning more about San Mateo County’s only natural preserve.\nWear sturdy shoes and bring water. Consider sunscreen\, a hat\, and snacks. The only restrooms and water are at the main entrance\, near the picnic area next to the Sylvan Trailhead. A porta-potty can also be found at the Sunset Trailhead during wildflower season. Please plan ahead.\nAll participants\, including children\, must be registered individually and have approved the liability waiver through Eventbrite. Details on where to meet will be emailed to participants before the event. Note that Edgewood’s many narrow trails cannot accommodate strollers.\nWe will still hike in light showers\, but heavy rain cancels this hike.\nGroup size is very limited. Please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend so others may have a chance to join us.
