Wildcat Canyon Regional Park
by Bay Nature Staff on July 08, 2012
This park is a wonderful rustic getaway from the nearby east bay cities with stunning views and abundant wildlife.
The park offers 22 miles of trails, including 2.7 miles of paved trail on Nimitz Way, and 6 miles of single track trails in the Tilden Nature Area. The trails are popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. The terrain is hilly through chaparral, grassland, and woodlands. Wildcat creek runs through the park, flowing northward and eventually into San Pablo Bay. The creek supports a reviving population of rainbow trout.
