Help Clean Lake Merritt

Each month, thousands of pounds of trash accumulate in Oakland's Lake Merritt. It is removed by retired folks, professionals, housewives, school children, civic organization members, and people just like you.
The Lake Merritt Institute provides gloves, custom-made nets, several pairs of hip waders (sizes 7 - 11), trash bags, and trash cans. Meet on the second floor of the Boating Center, 568 Bellevue Ave., Oakland, or call (510) 238-2290 to schedule an event for a group.
Tuesdays at 10:30 am, Saturdays at 10 am.
Note: This event repeats every Tuesday and Saturday. It's best to check with the organizer to make sure any particular workday is going ahead as planned.
