Overview
From the Richmond BART station, take the AC 71 right to the trailhead. After passing the historic Parchester Village on the way in, you'll arrive at the parking lot with views of the bay, Richmond hills, and the Amtrak tracks. From there you can get on the shuttle (runs daily, except Tuesday and Wednesday, check their website for details) with your bikes and fishing gear to 1,250 foot pier at the northern-most point of the park. Or you can choose to walk along the Bay Trail with stunning views of Marin and San Pablo Bay. The inland trails in the park go by old dynamite mounds, evidence of the very explosive history of this land.
A great place to picnic, birdwatch, stretch your legs and bike, this is a park for families of all ages and sizes. See trail map here.
