Redwood Regional Park
Overview
What a great park for people of all ages! It's easy to think you've traveled far away even though the urban Bay Area is just over the hill. There is lots of room for little legs to run as well as to explore open meadows and a redwood forest. Walk up Stream Trail as far as you can, looking for newts in the winter, listening for owls in the evenings, and noticing the curves of the creek.
You can do an easy loop or simply turn around and walk downstream to return home.
The Stream Trail is paved for long enough for bicycle or tricycle rides. And there's a simple playground not too far from the parking lot, but far enough away to be outside and quiet.
