Overview

A short hike up from San Pablo Avenue in Richmond and you enter Alvarado Park and begin ascending into the northern most section of the infamous East Bay Hills. Soon views of the San Francisco Bay and Bay and Golden Gate bridge come into view.

  • Follow the Wildcat Creek Trail to the Harvey Canyon Trail and then Nimitz Way on your way through Wildcat Canyon and into Tilden Regional Park.
  • Now you are on the Bay Area Ridge Trail passing by Inspiration Point to the Seaview Trail.
  • Follow this to East Bay Municipal Utility District Land and the De Laveaga Trail which conveniently drops you off in Orinda for dinner or lunch and then a short walk to the Orinda BART.
