Bay Nature’s 2016 Local Hero Awards Dinner: Photos
Bay Nature Institute’s Local Hero Awards Dinner was held at the UCSF-Mission Bay Conference Center, San Francisco
Bay Nature Institute’s sold-out Local Hero Awards Dinner on Sunday, March 20, 2016 brought together parks and open space managers, conservation advocates, nature lovers, and Bay Nature supporters from throughout the Bay Area. We celebrated three extraordinary Local Heroes and one very special “Bay Nature Hero”: retired Heyday Books publisher and Bay Nature co-founder Malcolm Margolin. “This Land is Your Land” celebrated 100 years of the National Park Service and the 15th anniversary of Bay Nature. Guest speaker Chris Lehnertz, superintendent of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, spoke about the importance of making the National Parks relevant for the next generation.
Below are some selected photos from the event. All photos taken by Scott Braley. To view a lot more photos from the evening, click here.
