Coastal Cleanup Volunteer Day at the EEC

Sunday, September 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free

Join us for Coastal Cleanup Day! This year marks the 36th anniversary of Coastal Cleanup Day and is one of California’s largest volunteer events with sites all over the state participating. Help us pick up litter from the roads and trails around the Environmental Education Center (EEC) to help keep our waterways and wetlands clean! Register at: https://CoastalCleanUp2025.eventbrite.com.

Please note, volunteers under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Other Considerations:
– Driving Directions: We recommend using Google Maps and mapping to the “Environmental Education Center (EEC)” or 1751 Grand Blvd, Alviso, CA 95002.

– If you need any accommodations or would like to know more about volunteer hours, please don’t hesitate to reach out to watershedwatchers@sfbayws.org.

– Wear comfortable clothing, long pants, sun protection and layers, and closed-toe shoes – all that you don’t mind getting dirty! We will provide gloves and all other tools and supplies for this event, but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred.

– Restrooms will be available on-site in the form of an ADA-compliant portable toilet and hand-washing station.

– Snacks will be provided!

This program is brought to you by the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society, the nonprofit Friends group to the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge Complex, with support from the Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP), Cargill, and the Creek Connections Action Group.
