Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a fundraising event?

Yes. Ticket purchases, sponsorships, and fundraising at the event support Bay Nature’s journalism, programs, and community engagement efforts.

Is my ticket purchase or sponsorship tax deductible?

Please consult your tax advisor. We estimate a $75 fair market value for each ticket used. Bay Nature’s federal tax ID is 76-0744881.

Can I pay for my tickets and/or sponsorship from my Donor Advised Fund (DAF) or with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)?

No. Event tickets are considered a significant benefit under IRS tax regulations.

Can I purchase tickets for others?

Yes. You may purchase multiple tickets or host a Celebration Group.

Are Bay Nature members eligible for discounted tickets?

Yes. Members receive early bird pricing through March 7.

What if I can’t attend but want to support Bay Nature?

You can make a donation at baynature.org/donate.

Where can I find event parking?

Metered parking is available in the Presidio at the Golden Gate Club and on the surrounding streets.

Is the event accessible?

The Golden Gate Club is ADA accessible.

How should I dress?

Attire is festive, but comfortable.

Will food be served?

Heavy hors d’oeuvres, dessert, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.
