Natural World Museum Exhibit: Anima Mundi

In its debut exhibit, the San Francisco-based nonprofit Natural World Museum (www.naturalworldmuseum.org) presents an exploration of ancient and contemporary environmental art. Called Anima Mundi, Latin for “Soul of the World,” the multimedia exhibition show-cases modern works by renowned wild-life painter Robert Batemen, Presidio images by nature photographer Vincent Versace, a “digital garden” featuring 30 ecological artists from Marin’s Greenmuseum.org, natural objects from the California Academy of Sciences, and culturally significant works of Native Americans, covering 6,000 years of human connection to the natural world. Herbst International Exhibition Hall, 385 Moraga Street in San Francisco’s Presidio, October 1-31, Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The suggested admission donation is $4 general and $2 for students and seniors.
