519 acre Park managed by: East Bay Regional Park District
On hot summer days, Horseshoe and Rainbow Lakes cool off eager swimmers and waders, while the wildlife habitat is a draw all year round.
Once the site of gravel mining operations, the quarries have long since been flooded and used for groundwater recharging. Horsehoe Lake and Rainbow Lake are open to picnicking, swimming, and non-motorized watercraft, while Willow Slough and Lago Los Osos are reserved for wildlife habitat.
