Friends of Edgewood is a volunteer group that supports Edgewood County Park on the Peninsula. The group organizes docent-led wildflower walks, assists in restoration work at the park, and maps the park’s resources.

The East Bay Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving California’s native flora and focused on Alameda and Contra Costa counties. East Bay CNPS volunteers are active in native plant conservation advocacy and restoration work in our two-county area. The chapter also offers field trips, presentations on native plant-related topics, and a year-round native plant nursery, Native Here Nursery, specializing in the plants of our two counties. Membership in CNPS is open to all, and everyone is invited to participate in the East Bay chapter’s many activities.
