David L. Nelson

Doug and David have both been interested in nature since we were young boys and retained that interest as men. David started a hiking and climbing business, and dabbled in nature writing. Doug has been part of conservation work, writing, and leading hikes on San Bruno Mountain for years. David attended Doug’s winter 2013 CNPS hike and fell in love with the Mountain. They decided they should write a book on the Mountain’s flora, a project underway and previewed in this issue.
