Belonging in Nature: Queer and Trans Community Day

Friday, April 12 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where: Black Point Historic Gardens; specific meeting location will be in the confirmation email after registering. Registration is required. Please register here.

Looking to support native ecosystems in your area? Seeking creativity outdoors? In need of Queer & Trans community joy? It’s wildflower season–and what better way to celebrate the blooms, bees, and butterflies returning from their winter hiatus than to come outside and join them with your own colorful bloom!

Join Queer and Trans community and staff to revel in all that our Bay Area ecosystem has to offer. Surround yourself with a rainbow of blooming CA Poppies, Yorkia, Lupine, Gilia, Tidy Tips, Goldfields, Nemophila, Collinsia, and more! Support CA wildflowers and pollinator habitat, while learning how to bring native blooms to your own neighborhood. Celebrate and capture the Spring season artistically through cyanotype printing with staff on site–CA Native plants are ART! Please feel welcome to wear your normal gardening clothes OR dress up in your most colorful fits to match the wildflower blooms. This will be our 5th event in our Belong in Nature: Queer & Trans Community Day series, and we hope to keep going & growing. New and returning participants are encouraged to join!
