Bay Nature Bioblitz: UC Berkeley Campus

Join us in person for a Bay Nature Bioblitz on Saturday, April 27, from 10:00am – 2:00pm on UC Berkeley’s campus: Let’s contribute to the 2024 City Nature Challenge! Join this bioblitz, hosted by Bay Nature, and explore UC Berkeley’s campus and the nearly 360 species recorded on it! This is a free community event, and we invite everyone to join. No prior iNaturalist experience required.

Please download the iNaturalist app to your phone and make a free account prior to arriving. Click here for the link to our iNaturalist project for April 27.

Schedule:

10am – 1pm: Check in at the Bay Nature table at UC Berkeley’s West Circle for an iNaturalist tutorial and snacks, then have fun exploring campus and recording observations on your own until our ID party. Come anytime within this window. BN staff will be doing multiple iNat tutorials within the three hours.

1pm – 2pm: Return to Bay Nature’s table near West Circle on campus for an ID party. We hope to have experts present to help us ID our observations from earlier in the day.
