Indigenous writer Gregg Castro reflects on the 25th anniversary of the Gathering of Ohlone Peoples.
Gregg Castro (rumsien Ohlone / t'rowt'raahl Salinan), has worked to preserve his California Indigenous heritage for over 25 years, for both his Ohlone and Salinan cultures. Gregg is the Society for California Archaeology’s Native American Programs Committee Chairperson. Gregg is a ‘Facilitator’ consultant for the annual California Indian Conference. He founded and advises the California Indian History Curriculum Coalition. Gregg is a writer and activist within the California indigenous community, supporting communities in their preservation work.
