Early Spring Wildflowers And Plant Uses

Saturday, February 17 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Join Certified CA Naturalist John Lynch and Sugarloaf staff Desi Harp on a 3 mile, 2.5 hour guided nature walk from creekside to hillside and back through the meadow. We will take our time with frequent stops to enjoy and identify the wildflowers, talk about the traditional uses of plants we encounter, and catch our breath. Tickets are $15-$20 sliding scale for general audiences, $7.50 for youth (12-17 year olds) and students, Sugarloaf members, Sugarloaf volunteers, and free for children under 12. Click here to register for tickets.

Meet at the Visitor Center. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for two miles of leisurely walking and chatting over moderate and possibly muddy terrain. Bring plenty of water. We invite you to bring a reusable drink container for you and your little ones to enjoy hot cocoa after the walk. The event will be canceled if there are heavy rains. Parking fees will apply.
